Long Long Long time never update this. Firstly, Happy Birthday ah ³½!!! Current Location: Still in Shanghai doing this one month exchange. Overall I say its pretty satisfying trip so far, despite a hellicious first week that I had to take my last paper here, and other downsides that include watch Spain and the Aussies get knocked out and that I haven't got chance to go Clubbing yet. Food's good, business is going according to plan, result's... alright (If I put it into perspective....), Ski trip's coming - overall things are great! Just putting a few pictures that the limited xanga upload allows rather then say anymore...here ya go!

"If there are no bad people, then there would not be good lawyers"

Life, like everything, has its peaks and troughs. Work, studies, love, friendship, or simply different parts of the day - it is never constantly good, or constantly bad. I remember someone (I think ah fish?) likened life to a business cycle, and I couldn't agree more. When you gather with a big group of friends and enjoyed yourself tremendously, the sense of loneliness obviously in the aftermath, once it is all over, can often be overwhelming. When you really fall in love, you can be hurt a lot more from it. When you achieve success, it feels worse when you fail. Feelings are a relative thing.

I received the rejection e-mail last night from Linklaters. I felt terrible. this is the dream firm that I wanted to work for, the one that I spent months planning for, but alas - reality just bit me in the ass. I have been blessed so far with my work, and somehow always ended up roughly what I wanted to do. Thats why this is the first major set-back that I have received, and it's quite painful; when you were on a high, you fall down the hardest.

However, as I lie on my bed and pondered a bit about it, it isn't so bad. This is but a small setback compared to many other worse things that can happen in life - looking on the brighter side: It is because of this relativity, that when you are down, that the day when success eventually comes, it will taste that much sweeter. If your whole day is a high, for 24 hours a day, then it will be taken for granted, and what will then be the reward for a good thing happening? If you are never alone, will you appreciate your loved ones as much?

Be grateful for the being down, for I believe the inevitable up later, when the feeling is just that much better, is God's gift to all of us. When the chips are down, just chin up, and remember of the chips you have left, and not the chips you lost.

Went crazy today~ Marathon indeed!

8:45pm - "Scary Movie 4"

11:40pm - "The Hills have Eyes"

1:30am "Final Destination 3"

3:30am - Almost went inside the last show "Date movie"....could not take it anymore after laughing like crazy for Scary Movie , followed by seeing approximately 4325265357 people's heads, fingers, legs, etc chop off/smashed in The Hills have Eyes and Final Destination

The Hills have Eyes - really scary and gross. Wes Craven is a nutter indeed.

Check this out. The drafters of Statutes sure know how to write a paragraph.

Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth)

s10(1): If, by reason of, or of a provision of, a law of the commonwealth or of a State or Territory, persons of a particular race, colour or national or ethnic origin do not enjoy a right that is enjoyed by persons of a another race, colour or national or ethnic origin, or enjoy a right to a more limited extend than persons of a particular race, colour or national or ethnic origin, then, notwithstanding anything in that law, persons of the first-mentioned race, colour or national or ethnic origin shall by force of this section, enjoy that right to the same extent as persons of that race, colour or national or ethic origin.

Why not just, s10(1): All races shall be equal?
